The 2nd Fallschirmjäger Division (HRS) was formed in 2002 by a group of veteran Minnesota based WWII re-enactors who were looking for somthing different. We had an average of 15+ years of re-enacting experience, primarily in German forces. Members had leadership roles in their former units, commanding squad, platoon, and company sized elements. Our members are composed of prior service military, current service (National Guard and Reserves), and veteran civilians. We have also experienced re-enacting from the roles of U.S. Army, U.S.M.C., British, and Soviet sides. Many of our current members also portray Soviet infantry as a secondary impression and do a modern Soviet Naval Infantry impression in a training role.  

The Fallschirmjäger were known for their fighting spirit and intensity, yet were considered as honorable soldiers in a time where honor was at best, fragile.

Our goal is to honor the WWII veterans from all countries in a strictly non-political manner. These veterans are truly a unique group of people who sadly are leaving us by the thousands every day. We participate in public displays as WWII soldiers as a means to thank these veterans for their sacrifices. It is to these veterans that we dedicate our efforts.
